My commitment
Nalani York is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. I am continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards across nalaniyork.com.
Conformance status
This site aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, and to align with Section 508 of the U.S. Rehabilitation Act. Conformance is an ongoing process, and some content may not yet fully meet every success criterion.
Measures taken
- Semantic HTML structure with a single main landmark per page
- Descriptive alt text on meaningful imagery and empty alt on decorative imagery
- Keyboard navigability across all interactive elements
- Visible focus indicators on links, buttons, and form fields
- Sufficient color contrast between text and background
- Form inputs paired with programmatically associated labels
- Responsive layout that supports text resizing and mobile use
Known limitations
Despite ongoing efforts, some content may not be fully accessible. Where third-party services are embedded or linked (such as Calendly or LinkedIn), accessibility is governed by those providers.
